Tempus is a brand of premium British Charcuterie brand that believe in running a business that is ethical, sustainable and proudly British. They are guided by traditional methods but aren't afraid to experiment with new flavours driven by their cultural and culinary backgrounds. They approached us to create new premium branding that illustrates the hand-crafted element of their products.
Inspired by their sense of exploration, we looked at British history. The British have been known for centuries as explorers, with a fascination for anything rare or unique. To celebrate this heritage, we positioned Tempus as a British purveyor of rarities, in the spirit of famous Great Exhibition of 1851.
The branding pulls influence from the greenhouse-like architecture of the Crystal Palace where the Great Exhibition was hosted. It also incorporates the Tempus single breeds, likening them to the rare specimens shown at the exhibiton. The style is a mixture of clean lines and hand-generated illustration, which gives it a sophisticated and British feel that retains elements of craft. The quality is further emphasised by the tactile uncoated paper and delicate rose gold foil used in all of the collateral.
