Blouberg Craft Brewery was launched at a time when craft beer was exploding onto the South African market and needed to work hard to stand out from the competition in such a heavily competitive category. The original packaging lacked differentiation and so the task was to update it to something modern with a clear link to Blouberg.

The strategy was to give it a strong sense of place by using bright beachwear-inspired colours along with iconic scenes from Blouberg beach life to tell their story and give this exceptional beer a real Cape Town summer feel. 

The colours, selected for maximum shelf impact and the unique label shape inspired by the curves of a surf board, differentiates it from other brands.
